===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: Whoa, it's a scene from "Honey, I shrunk the IRTC!" Just kidding. Lots of color, good theme, but it's too busy. I didn't notice 'Mr Winter' until I read about him in the description. This is a good idea I would like to see in a different composition. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Beautiful off-topic image. ===== From nx@chez.com: Some nice flowers, but more organic textures would improve realism. Also, you should use a strong light to simulate the sun and reduce the intensity of the others 'cos shadows are a little bit confusing. ===== From mwhite@concourse.net: Nicely done! Great concept other than the flame being a little round I gave it high marks all the way around. ===== From chris@68k.org: There is a pleasant "fakeness" to this image, probably due to the vivid colors. Nice. ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: This may get the award for the most tools used. I gave you an couple of extra tech points for learning to use so many tools. The image seems a bit confusing with no focus. Also there is some nice modeling here and there. I like the butterfly. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Quite colorful. So many colors and objects that I had to search carefully to find "Mr. Winter". ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Wow -- this one wins the "most tools used" award :). But it was worth it. Nice modeling! The composition of the scene is surprisingly rich. What it needs, though, perhaps, is a bit more attention to texturing. Also, the fire could use a little work -- more transparency, more turbulence, less spherical. Still, it's a fascinating piece of work! ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: Mr. Winter: "I'm melting!" ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Very funny and colorful picture, with an interesting idea... The problem with texturing is that it is not coherent: most objects have a fairly simple texture, as others have complex looking. You should have made a choice here! ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: Good composition, good modelling, nice diversity in shapes. Colors are a little harsh (reds and greens); lighting in unnatural, because you used multiple light sources in an exterior scene (there's only one sun); use just one main light source and, eventually, add a shadowless light or a very soft arealight to avoid dark areas (or radiosity, if you have time !). ===== From r@cust193.webbernet.net: Very clever concept and some nice modelling. Textures are too simplistic. I like the unusual perspective, but relative sizes seem to be all off. This comment by clem@dhol.com.
