This image has a lot of potential, but the scene is too empty.
More work and this could be a real winner.

Your interpretation of the theme is interesting, though!

I like the atmospheric light, works well in the "worshop" setting.  The
composition needs work though.  I would have like a main object being
worked on in the foreground or something similar - the scene lacks a
certain balance (it's hard to describe it though).

Nice idea, but an image like this thrives on details.  Lots and lots of little
details.  The textures are far too simplistic.  The blueprint is a nice idea. 
The fogginess  is a mistake.  The finished product needs to be more prominent
in the image.  The modeling is too blocky and the colors are far too subdued.
