TITLE: Unobtainium NAME: Emory R. Stagmer COUNTRY: USA EMAIL: Emory_Stagmer@amecom.com TOPIC: Elements COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: unobtain.jpg ZIPFILE: unobtain.zip RENDERER USED: POVRAY 3.1b TOOLS USED: Spatch, Lview, Microsoft Word RENDER TIME: 1hr 10 min HARDWARE USED: Pentium 200, 48 MB RAM IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Galileo discovers the rarest substance in the universe, unobtainium. Prized for it's ability to mimic any real or imaginary substance and for it's ability to be able to read the users mind and give him what he really wants, not what he asks for. Galileo decided the substance is much to dangerous and decided to hide the discovery. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This is really a personal lesson in media. The candle flames and the unobtainium were the major focus of the work. No modellers were used except for Spatch. Spatch was used for the book and the hand and sleeve. Not my best effort by any stretch, but I really wanted to submit something, and this at least had a cute story.
