===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: The rock outcropping looks more like a dock, but either way. The sky looks like the ribbon from Star Trek Generations is coming through... ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: Lake Michigan is a beautiful place in spots, isn't it? I'm from Muskegon area originally (Hesperia). Nice idea--I like the board sticking out, with green growing in the cracks, giving the impression of something old there. But the grass needs more life to it, and that cloud in the sky is pretty weird looking. Was that really the image you were trying for? ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Awful sky ruins image. Grass and water unrealistic. ===== From amason@cs.uct.ac.za: composition sucks: don't use half-half sky and water grass is suspect. ripples too. sky as well. ===== From justin@scpmcs.org: Sorry, but you could have done a bit more... ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Seeing your render time and the jagged edges; a stronger antialiasing would have done the image a lot of good. ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: Sky gives me problems...it doesn't look real or part of the image. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Hey! you're describing on your txt my work method! I normally tends to muddle along, without knowing what I wont to obtain. See, after some years of practice, it even works!! ;) (not joking!) Now the criticism: The sky seems a it like "plasma" fractals, I think you must play a bit with the sky_sphere examples (I too ;). ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: The rock outcropping is a good idea, but it ends up being too square-edged. Try intersecting the height_field with another object (or just use water_level) to get the shape you want.
