===== From jknepley@chisp.net: The water looks a lot like the chrome of the faucet. ===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: Fairly realistic, though the toothpaste looks metallic... ===== From xeo@home.com: Very realistic! I would have toned down the volumetric fog just a bit, but it still looks very good! ===== From witoslaw@kki.net.pl: Quite nice, but the toothpaste tube should have a texture on it. And the second thing; why is the image blurred so much? ===== From manorton@tcnet.net: Cool, another BMRT User!!! ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: Really, really nice use of lighting. The faucet seems a bit oddly shaped, and the tube of toothpase is made of silver :*) but otherwise a fairly impressive scene. ===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: A good picture, but somehow the rays of light need more sampling to get rid of that speckled look. I'm impressed that it did such a good job with such a new product. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Everything is very cool, but the sink has the wrong shape: more like a funnel. ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: The faucet seems a bit too long, just out of scale. If the photographic-like graininess is intentional, it's quite well done. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Great lighting, superb. Fog is a bit grainy, but also amazing. Modelling is perfect. Perhaps the overall colors are too cold, but I even like it this way. ===== From Varyk@aol.com: sounds like a lot of work, but looks great! ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: Very interestingly shaped sink. :{) There's an odd graininess to the image though. Something that I would not imagine to occur naturally. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good modelling and lighting. The radiosity really stands out and is quite appropriate in this image. It gives the scene a warm, morning look. I don't like the quite grainy/gritty look of the image, however. Particularly in a bathroom, which usually has exceptionally glossy surfaces. Thanks for explaining some of the complexities of Renderman/RIB. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: The lighting and texture and atmosphere make an artistic image out of a very plain subject. ===== From chipr@niestu.com: Yay BMRT! Strikingly photorealistic. I am always annoyed by BMRT's "graininess", however--especially noticeable in the curves of the sink on the left-hand side, and in the window-light on the bottom of the mirror. Also, many of the near-vertical edges had jaggies. What pixel sampling rate did you use? Another nitpick--the drain looks closed, yet there's no water pooling in the sink. Maybe drains in Germany work differently than they do here. Overall a good showcase of BMRT's capabilities, and a very pretty image. ===== From r@spider-th084.proxy.aol.com: This is just a beautifully composed image Notable for composition, lighting ===== From r@slater.ed.edu.jonkoping.se: I really like that "early morning in the bathroom" look. Notable for lighting ===== From r@206-72-253.ipt.aol.com: Perfect image! All except the toothpaste tube, with the paste coming out..The tube doesn't appear to have been squeezed at all, so it doesn't really make sense that the toothpaste would be coming out. And the tube is a bit too short, too. ===== From r@tk156239.telekabel.at: Notable for lighting ===== From r@tk156239.telekabel.at: Lighting is great, but it makes the image very grainy.
