===== From jknepley@chisp.net: You should have tried to model the ducks, instead of using the clipart. Glass/water is not that difficult to attain in Raydream, but there are some tools that make it a lot easier. ===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: Very nice! ===== From nels1678@tc.umn.edu: The particles add alot to the scene, and I like your use of colors! The water could be a bit more complex though. Nice image! ===== From witoslaw@kki.net.pl: The ducks look more like there were made out of glass than water. Ant the water is a little metalic to me. Anyway, everything looks good! ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: Nice conception--you're right, though, it doesn't look like they're made out of water. They're more glassy; also, I can't really tell what the items are to the left and right of the scene. ===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: Wow, that's cool! The watery ducks look great! This is a good colorful scene and I like the splashed of water the ducks leave behind. But shouldn't that falling water leave small ripples? ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: I like the dark and oily texture of the water in contrast with the jewel-like ducks. But I'd have been much more impressed if you'd made and posed your own model, as the ducks seem to be the only complex object of any kind in the image. The rocks in the background look nicely watersmoothed but the texture on them could use work. ===== From catchpol@netspace.net.au: Very nice idea ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: This looks very disturbing to me, making it "happier" did not really succeed in my opinion. The water does not really look like water, the duck's seem to be made of glass, but what disturbs the overall impression is that their wings are totally flat. The splashes look rather like a firework than like waterdrops. ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: I love this image! Although I would have liked to have seen a bit more work done on the texturing of the rocks. They seem to take away from the image somehow. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Seems somehow more oily than watery. ===== From r@slater.ed.edu.jonkoping.se: Why glass birds. ===== From r@203.102.40.35: fantastic but realistic, just what raytracings all about (to me anyway :)
