===== From manorton@tcnet.net: Thats not the way we watch sub races :) ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: Nice water ceiling; these subs are in an awfully tight turn, aren't they? :*) A little more work on the sub 'box', and perhaps something in the image to get your "lets go watch the submarine race" idea across, would make this a much cooler image. Still nice. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Very cool scene, except for the marble blocks the subs are carrying. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Sub races, hehe. I keep wondering why the subs all carry a large brick ... The profile of the hull closely resembles the German WW-II-winged-bomb (a predecessor of today's cruise missiles) 'V1'. I would appreciate some hints on how you did what. And, what did take _that_ long to render? Maybe use less strong antialiasing, but instead use a higher JPEG quality setting, or else all the rendering quality is lost in the data reduction process. ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: The gold blocks look stuck on, on a real submarine they would be streamlines. More gratuitous bozo pigments. ===== From mmandl@aol.com: Be careful I married the guy who took me to the sub races :) The suds could have used a little more detail. Nice concept ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Some interesting textures on the sea floor. Submarines are usually more cigar-shaped rather than stretched-sphere-shaped, aren't they? Conning tower needs to be streamlined. ===== From chipr@niestu.com: When I saw the title, I fully expected a picture of the blank surface of some body of water, and was surprised to see actual submarines racing. If I were building a racing sub, I would streamline that superstructure, though.
