The image is very nice, though I have two observations.  First, the water
seems a little too...hard?  Blue?  Flat?  Not sure which.  Also, the lighting
on the sails is counterintuitive -- where is the source that lights them from
the back, since it can't be the sun...

This is a nice looking scene, good use of colors, and I like the grass! If you
decide to continue working on this image I'd suggest working on your sky, the
clouds are a bit unrealistic, and perhaps some of the lighting on the boat. 
The water is very blue and while not really looking realistic, is pleasent to
view.

Wow! Water's great. Sky and sun is great. The ship and bird--very nice touches.
The cattails are awesome. Good use of focal blur? Only "criticism" I can come
up with is that the plants look less real towards the ground. But I'm still
saving this one for wallpaper!

I like this one a lot.  Had to look at itr closely a couple times to decide that
no, that wasn't a photograph for the sky.  Good job!
I'd say the grass was well worth it, it's durn near photorealistic and I love
the "fuzziness" of the seed head.
Don't know if the trees were though, they're so obscured by the grass that you
could have probably gotten away with
quite a simple model and I wouldn't be able to tell.  I like the way the ship's
sails are lighted.

A really excellent image. But, here again, some small points of critique:
The sails of the ship are lit from the camera direction, does the ship have
strong lamps on board? It looks a bit unnatural and a seems waste of energy to
light the sails.
The reflection of the sun on the sea is a bit offcenter, it is farther to the
right than the sun itself.
The central glare of the sun is a bit too small (or the sun is too big, which
is more likely, the image as seen here must have been taken with a strong
tele lens, at least 400mm)

Good approach using the three-layer technique.  The sun and sky are nice.  The
water looks a little bit "crinkly" rather than "wavy".  Big flaw: the ship
doesn't seem to cast any shadow or reflection upon the water.
I like the grass.

The grass is most impressive.  I've tried several different approaches,
but haven't broken down and modelled the baldes of grass individually yet.
