===== From witoslaw@kki.net.pl: Very realistic (except fot the sword) ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: The water watch is an interesting idea--you might consider labeling the different liquids to get the point across that they're for use in the watch. Nice brickwork on the walls, and nice wooden floor frame. ===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: The theme is neat, although not obvious from the picture alone, as you suggest. The textures look great as does the broken glass. Although the sword looks good it grabs too much attention for itself and detracts from the rest of the scene. ===== From catchpol@netspace.net.au: Not really that water related. The textures on the sword were too shiny, imho ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: The modelling is very fine, but I think the image lacks a lot on the lighting and even on the texturing side. The spilt liquid and the bottles look quite nice, but I think the highlights on the sword are much to matte and too big. The sword should have very small, sharp highlights, since it is so polished that it even reflects its surroundings. As a technical sidenote, the density if the liquid will not make much of a differnce, but rather the viscosity. Also, a "liquid hour glass" like this will not work like a normal sand glass because while the liquid runs down one way, the air has to go up the other way. If the glass is air-tight, the liquid would just stay in the upper part. ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: Most gratuitious placement of a sword in this round...can't tel the connection to water without reading the text, and even then's it's a stretch. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Nice, but I liked much more the first one... ===== From Varyk@aol.com: While this would be a better entry for a Liquids round (it's unclear if a= ny of the bottles holds Water)....this is a wonderful scene. You obvious= ly csg with an ease I hope to acheive some day. The pattern on the count= ertop is great. People are going to slam you on topicality. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Interesting detailed scene, but strange camera position: why is it looking at the wall? The broken glass is quite well done, it really looks broken. ===== From r@al6-p90-zg.tel.hr: GREAT!! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! Notable for composition, textures, modelling
