JPGFILE: byop.jpg ZIPFILE: byop.zip RENDERER USED: POV-Ray 3.01 TOOLS USED: Moray 3.01, HFLab, Erode, Sonya Roberts tree utility, Blob Sculptor, and Corel PhotoPaint (Image Maps (Mask & Map) and JPEG conversion) RENDER TIME: 5h 55m 44s HARDWARE USED: Pentium II 450 w/ 64MB IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The mists crept from the jungle as the cannibals slept sound this early morning, their stomachs full from the feast the prior evening. The explorer had wandered into their camp, smiling and they quickly incorporated him into their society/diet (Hummm, tastes like chicken). DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Big thanks to Moray (I'm saving my pennies), awesome program, and all the other utilities I used. I modeled most everything and 950f the textures I built, the rest I modified. The mask and map have images laid on them that I created in PhotoPaint. I used HFLab and Erode on the mountains and the ground. Blob Sculptor on the large tree trunk on the left and of course Sonya Roberts tree utility on the trees in the jungle in the background. Thanks to my friend Mike Robertson for his creative imagination (help with the idea and name). I had envisioned the jungle to be thicker in the background but I ran out of memory and wasn't willing to wait for a swapping trace to render. I used a lot of lights (12) to get just the effects I wanted. I downloaded Moray about a month ago and have had a ball with it ever since. I left the 5MB worth of image maps and HF files out of the zip. This is my second submission to the IRTC. I hope you enjoy the image.
