Composition.  You need to move the black land mass 
more to the bottom to show more of the sky.  This will 
give a better composition.  Remember the thirds rule.

I really like this image.  However, it doesn't really 
represent
raytracing, as it is mostly just a silouette.  But it is a very

This has a lot of potential according to me.  The one thing that brings this
down is that half of the image is BLACK.  If you could add the tiniest bit of
colour to the land etc. it would be GREAT!  Because, even this early in the
morning, you will never find a totally black object, especially when it's out
in the open like your landscape and trees are.
