===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: Very glitzy and high tech, I like it. Maybe a new hand for the terminator? One problem, I don't see the connection with the topic. ===== From newkirk@snip.net: What is ther pertinence to "first encounter"? I like this image, but don't see the relevance to the topic. ===== From sammy@cube.net: Wrong Topic ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: The fingers _are_ really well done... ===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: Very nice! Good idea! ===== From caleb@chemeng.uct.ac.za: Very nice lighting ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Interesting! However, I see no "first encounter" here.... Also, I recommend using the full 800x600 resolution. But the robot hand is nicely done, and the ring is a clever touch. ===== From east103@dialaccess.com: Nice detail / styling of the hand. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Very artistic and technically very good. Connection to topic not so clear. ===== From blaineholmes@hotmail.com: Cool hand! Just curious, when you resampled, why not go to max image submission size of 800x600? ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Nice idea and really good textures and lighting. Next time, please do it directly in 800x600 with anti-aliasing. ===== From clem@dhol.com: Pretty and well done but, unfortunately, not really on topic. The textures are excellent. The modelling is quite good. The idea in itself is good. I wonder why you reduced the size so far? I hope that you submit images in other rounds that stay closer to the topic, so that you will get the good scores you otherwise deserve. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Well... there are some things I can't understand... First, how you traced a so big picture (2048x1536) to later resize it so small (500x375) for the IRTC? The max size permited is 800x600, so I find your entry size choice very strange. Second, why you need 7 spots and 3 area_lights for a so close camera? A little strange if you notice that there are no much visible shadows on the scene. Appart from this, the pic is very nice. I liked the metal textures and the hand design. Very good modelling and texturing. The idea of a married robot is also strange, but interesting and unexpected, although there is a tenuous connection with the topic that you don't explain. Very good work anyhow! ===== From r@haka.saunalahti.fi: A truly magnificent image, but it doesn't seem to have much to do with the topic. Also why scale it so small? Notable for modelling, originality
