===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: Nice job! I wish the alien didn't look so similar to the toys. At first I thought the alien was one of the toys come to life. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good package design. Uninspired lighting and camera angle. Silly concept. ===== From tina@tezcat.com: For some reason, I keep thinking to myself "Powdered Toast Man!" I like this concept... ===== From djconnel@flash.net: Interesting, to say the least.... you have a bizarre imagination :). Still, I view this one as a bit weaker than your "elemental men" entry or your metal runner animation.... the box is quite clever, but the humanoid looks like another toy. ===== From east103@dialaccess.com: I like the boxes. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Yes, right on topic but a pretty dumb alien! ===== From blaineholmes@hotmail.com: Nice plastic texture. ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Not obvious to guess, the connexion with the theme is great! You could improve a lot the pic with better texturing, starting for instance with the background. ===== From clem@dhol.com: The idea has potential, but it doesn't entirely come off. The "alien" is too much like another action figure to register as a real alien without the text file to explain. The strange half painted on/half melted and runny looking toy soldier face doesn't work at all on the alien and enhances the perception of it as a (badly made) toy. The crackle skin on the other hand, and pvc man's face are quite good. The disarticulation of the shoulders on pvc man is a good toy detail. Doing the same to other joints and the waist would have helped. The humanoid model overall isn't bad at all. The wood grain background looks nice, but who would use a single piece of wood cut crosswise from a quite large tree as a toy display backdrop? If the pose of the alien doesn't already convey perplexity, the question mark doesn't really help and it adds to the impression that this is a Toy Story scenario, not an alien encounter. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Nice. Ironic and orginal. And different... thanks for the refresh! ===== From r@haka.saunalahti.fi: Whoa! That was a laugh! A great way to turn the common modeling problems of plasticity and repetitiveness into advantages, too. The background could be better - the huge tree effect strikes again. Notable for originality
