===== From denny1@home.com: The boat is nice, but I don't quite understand the layout of the decks. It looks like there is a hatch in the rear deck, but then there is a large gap between the rear and fore decks. Are the arms in the director's chair intersecting with the canvas? ===== From mztyree@sedona.net: I like the idea of a tribute to Dali. I also love his painting and have been influenced by him. The lake is not too realistic, but the image as a whole is Dali-like and has good composition. Thank you. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: The boat just couldn't be better than that. The tree is simple but OK, the 'floating' ground looks a bit funny (texturewise) but I guess this is what it should look like, I like it but somewhere it tells me there is something odd with it. The only bit I really was a bit disappointed about is where the heightfield meets the water, some better transition would be appreciated. The sky is good. Overall I like this type of abstract world, a bit like the ones the painter Magritte has produced. I'm not a fan of Dali, but this resembles more one of Magritte's rather than one of Dali's. ===== From shipbrk@gate.net: Interesting concept, but it might have been nice to see more objects which you created yourself rather than downloading from the Net. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Good concept. Writing on image far too large. ===== From MMandl@aol.com: The way you used your name distracted from the artistic merit. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Nicely surreal, but seems a bit hodge-podge. The intricate textures on the boat and rock seem to jar with the rest of the image - I think the shapes are more important. The faint halo around the face looks like an unwanted artifact. ===== From jull43@ij.net: OK, surreal
