===== From denny1@home.com: The melted clock is quite nice. The elephant is good too, but it doesn't seem to have any eyes or tusks (or perhaps that was intentional). ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Well, the artistic mark is really because Dali's there some place. But you probably had a hard time to reproduce the look and feel using POV-Ray. Very nicely done. Only negative point : TOO dark for me. ===== From shipbrk@gate.net: Great elephant, love the effect with the sea. I think Dali would have enjoyed the homage. ===== From caleb@chemeng.uct.ac.za: Very excellent - I never thought I would see a true 3D Dali work. Well Done! ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: My favorite image. The elephant is great, but what is on its back. I think the image would be better without the sea shell or at least put it on the ground. ===== From houston.graphics@iname.com: I love Dali, and this is a great interpretation of his work, the only part I would have changed is the edge of the water, it looks too straight. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Very "daliesque" look, even without the clock. Nice homage. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Nice image . Dali lives . ===== From gshaw@monotix.co.za: Interesting combination of images. What's the reason behind the melted clock (or is it there just 'because') ===== From emediez@emediez.com: Excellent approach to Dali's works, and a very interesting mix of resources. My congratulations. ===== From clem@dhol.com: Very well done. A homage without being a simple copy. It would have been still better if it had included something original in the dreamlike Dali style. Some kind of theme to the image would help too. I know that Dali's image seem random, but they really aren't as a rule. Here I see (very good) Dali icons put together, but not interacting. If I seem critical, it is because I see a very, very good image with the potential to be a great image. I find the overall grayness undesirable, as well. Think bright Spanish sun and blue/green Mediterranean waters. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Fantastic! Gorgeous image, plenty of interesting details, perfectly captures the spirit of Dali. The sheet of water is brilliant, as is the soft clock. I don't know what else to say... this is wonderful. ===== From jull43@ij.net: If Dali had done a telephone painting I would not have scored so high. ===== From r@209.155.62.50: Notable for composition, modelling ===== From r@ascend-tk-p165.rhrz.uni-bonn.de: Very well done image! Great models and textures. I once attempted a Dali scene, but failed at the warped clocks (but that was using primitives -> ouch!). Notable for composition, textures, modelling ===== From r@209.155.62.50: Notable for composition, modelling
