===== From denny1@home.com: For only working with POV for a few weeks, this is quite a good image. The texture on the mushroom stalk is extremely good, very believable ridges. It works pretty well on the underside of the mushroom, though the edge closest to the viewer doesn't look as good. The running dinosaur is quite nice, though the lack of a shadow on the ground beneath him is a bit disorienting. A shadow would show how far his rear foot is above the ground. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: For a someone so new to POV this is quite good. But clearly not my artistic taste. ===== From shipbrk@gate.net: Great job for having worked with POV-Ray for so short a time! Good modelling job on the dinosaur. ===== From houston.graphics@iname.com: Nice idea, I think the cavern could have used a rougher coastline, and the mushroom top looks too precise, otherwise a nice image. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: If this is your first image and entry since getting PovRay in January, very well done. ===== From gshaw@monotix.co.za: The rock is a little too reflective and the ceiling too smooth. Perhaps another height field would have been better for the roof. The dinosaur and mushroom both look great. Water looks quite good. ===== From jull43@ij.net: I do not get a feel from the image that in the least matches the description. Maybe I have to read the book. Underground caverns I expect ot look like htey are underground and natural rather than something but by a huge tunneling machine and polished later. ===== From r@209.155.62.50: great debut, but textures are overdone, particularly on foreground rocks.
