===== From denny1@home.com: The manta shape is pretty good, but the texturing looks a bit too much like plastic. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: I always like Frank's pics. The problem is he's used us to such quality that this one is being severely compared with history. The water waves above could do with some randomness imho. The B_zier patch is a neat idea, but this one looks like it could have been subdivided further one or two degrees, the triangulation is visible in places. The whole ambience is very good although a bit too dark for me, I guess it is most certainly intended, but I don't like to strain my eyes. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Good concept. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: This looks like a tiny model - the surfaces are all too smooth and shiny, the ocean floor in particular. The rippling wave pattern doesn't help... it should probably be more choppy, with a higher frequency and larger scale. The focal blur is nice, but needs a bit more sampling to avoid the noise effect. ===== From jull43@ij.net: Lets put some odd shapes in the same scene.
