===== From denny1@home.com: I like the lava. Nice texture of spreading, sooling plates over a molten sea of magma. Being able to see hints of the green forest the humans project onto their dome is a nice touch. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: One problem with this one is that when you do something that you barely see, you assume everyone will look at your picture has the screen brightness set the same way yours is. In my case I use pretty low brightnesses for obvious concerns about my eyes and health and most images come out well, but in this case the big planet is lost for me. Probably someone with a very high brightness preference will see a pretty bright planet in the sky, and the rest washed out. So these things can be disapointing. The base of the foreground island is really well done, both the height field and the texture. I don't like the mountai though. The character is good looking. And the copper does not look like copper, you might have wanted it redder than that. The lava texture is great but looks a bit flat. ===== From shipbrk@gate.net: I think the human city in the background is the best part -- looks really intriguing! ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: A nice image, the middle to far distance is best . The foreground buildings look like a model for some reason. Perhaps it is partly the high viewing angle and partly the lighting ? The alien is good . ===== From gshaw@monotix.co.za: Beautiful. lava is very good. What did you use for that? ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: A very good idea, well executed and resulting in a nice image. Not much more to say! ===== From jull43@ij.net: The image does not need the verbal decription. I would question the consistancy of the rendering between the lava and platforms of rthe cities (mainly the lighting, where is it coming from?) but a minor quibble. ===== From r@209.155.62.50: Fun! Notable for originality
