===== From spanky@wpi.edu: Wow, ok, this scene is like a study in contrasts. Great use of imported textures and images......sort of! If you had modeled your daughter, and had made a raytraced starfield or other type of sky, this scene would be truly gorgeous. The foreground is really unique. Damn, you have to make a new sky for this scene! Trust me, if you do, this scene will be incredible. Augh!, I just looked at it again, please get rid of that starfield image map and render a sky! But honestly, great job on the foreground texturing. That's some of the best work on textures I've seen in Pov-Ray. Regards JDS ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: The simplest way to get of your ripple problem would have been to use a single normal pattern for both the pool and column : try an onion apttern and see how it goes. The problem with yours is the ripples in the column are not visible (maybe inherent to the way you light the whole scene). So your daughter came from heaven ? Lucky you. It dos not look like the girl is a flat object in pov-ray, that's a real success of a technical trick there, congratulations. Probably because you chose to place it properly in the picture according to the angle she was taken in the photograph. Nice composition. ===== From shipbrk@gate.net: Very nice! Great textures and colour scheme. ===== From rguillard@claranet.fr: A very nice picture. I really like the choice and balance of colors and light sources, it creates a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. Great art work ! ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Good concept. Nice image. Nice daughter. ===== From gshaw@monotix.co.za: Star background doesn't go well with the rest of the picture. Foreground very nice. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: A very nice image with some complex shapes and a good balance of colour and composition. My only problem is the blurriness of the stars in the background... looks a little unreal. ===== From jull43@ij.net: Yes, it is a thing. ===== From r@pc4.cs.siu.edu: it's ok Notable for lighting
