===== From sammy@cube.net: Sorry, but the rules states that you should only submit pitures done specifically for the current IRTC round. This did cost you points in the concept section. ===== From denny1@home.com: Cool, someone else whos Imaginary World is their RPG world. I actually like the mixing of different architectural styles. The obelisks and pyramids are egyptian, while the squarish pueblo buildings are common to many areas of the world. The larger buildings with the steep rooflines look european. It makes me wonder though, since it obviously doesn't rain much given all the flat rooftops, why is the roof so steep on those? The barge loaded with cargo (the one with its sail unfurled) is a nice touch. I think it would be riding lower in the water than the other, unloaded boats. The rowboats and skiffs parked all along the close shoreline are nice, probably belong to poor fishermen. Perhaps several different models of skiff would be nice, to avoid having them all look the same. The horses are very well done, as are the people standing along the street. The bridge in the distance has a raised span for barges to sail under, which is neat. But is it tall enough for the masts of the sailing barges to cross under? (It looks like it might be a drawbridge, so that wouldn't be a problem). ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Ah, Becraft! Your enjoyable style is becoming recognizable. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: A bit dark. There a lot of detail there. Nice city although a bit too random in places. The big boats could do with finer details. ===== From houston.graphics@iname.com: Overall I like this image, I love the small details like the row-boats, horse drawn caravan and the people, however the larger boats, I feel could have used a better textured hull, also large group of Domed buildings look odd, there seem to be too many in one area. I love the bridge though. Like I said overall it very good. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: :o ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: A beautiful image . Good composition , lighting and color , The random pattern of the detail gives a feeling of authenticity . Good work . ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: I love this image... Easily top 2 in my overall rankings. Full marks for artistic, this is absolutely beautiful... all the details are there, great water, trees, placement of little boats, the land, pyramids, all of it. You can just tell it is sunrise.. colouring is perfect. Intricate modelling with an eye to details. And it's obviously an imaginary town. Wonderful, wonderful stuff. ===== From jull43@ij.net: Something Egypt might have been. ===== From r@dc2-modem877.dial.xs4all.nl: Nice concept and atmosphere, but the primitives show through a bit too obviously, I think. More details would enhance the image greatly (also: no square ships). Greetings, Julius ===== From r@dc2-modem877.dial.xs4all.nl: Nice concept and atmosphere, but the primitives show through a bit too obviously, I think.
