DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: First sorry for my english, I_m only 16 years old and I can_t speak english very well... I began the work preparing the three postures of the three fairies with Poser 2 (this software has been distributed free with a magazine in my country), it was the first time I used Poser and I employed a few days to obtain the right postures, but lastly, I obtained it and exported the three bodies to 3DS format. Then I continued with the landscape, with Bryce 2 (this software was also distributed free with a magazine), and it was also the first time I used this software, but it is easy and in a few days I modeled the terrain begining with a grayscale image made with Photoshop. When I had got the background image and the bodies y go to 3D studio MAX where I imported the bodies in 3DS format and put the Bryce image as background. I modeled the wings of the fairies and made its texture with Photoshop. I created the first plane brushwood with MAX, using a loft objet with the scale modifier to make the branches and a spline and the bend modifier to make the leafs, I made the texture of the leafs with Photoshop. Then put everything in its place and put the lights, there are 9 lights, 8 spot and one volumetric omni light in the hand in first plane. I wanted to put a flare with Photoshop in the hand, but the rules forbide it, so I put a volumetric light. I rendered the final image with MAX and...here is.
