Some early human invented history by recording where the herd grazed. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This is my third entry and I am starting to get smarter in not trying to do things my poor little 486 can't handle. A hand drawing in Terrain Maker created the cave. A hidden roof was needed to control the lighting. A drawing of the animals were laid in as a layered texture onto the cave walls. The man's shape was generated using the instructions in the book "Ray Tracing Worlds with POV-RAY". This made articulating the pose easy. Clothing is a patch and the hair is a sweeped shapes, with a lot of attention to their texture. Lastly, I could not resist building a fire. Simple cylinder logs didn't look good till I added a bed of glowing ashes. The halo tutorials in the POV-RAY 3.0 User Documentation got me through the problems in making flames and smoke. The rest was time consuming tweaking. I really wanted to use Mikael Carneholm's Smoke Generator, but will have to wait till I have a bigger computer.
