===== From sshaw@fas.harvard.edu: I will take your word for it that this is an accurate representation of the plane; whether or not it is, you did a good job building it. The plane is well placed in the frame, but I am left wanting more in the scene. You made one good object, but it is the only thing there. ===== From sammy@cube.net: very good plane model! ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: Good modelling on the pilot and the aircraft, but the propeller is too shiny, I think. ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: Very nice plane; the horizon is awfully flat. (The water is quite calm as well for the English Channel, isn't it?) The propellor is well done. The plane looks awfully flimsy for crossing the Channel, but that isn't your fault :*) ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Great theme, nice looking model. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: This is one of the scenes I also had in mind but settled for an aircraft that was easier to model (entry 'spirit'). I didn't know the bit of the rain cooling his engine ;) Great job doing all this by hand in POV! The blurred propeller is too bright and shiny. Remember what causes the blurring in reality (finite shutter opening time) so its edges should still be well defined. Take a look at a simulated (as opposed to 'faked') motion blur in my 'spirit' (not spirit1) image. It is done using temporal super sampling within a defined shutter opening period. ===== From schimmler@ica.uni-stuttgart.de: Bleriot is often forgotten. When I think of the technology they used it makes me shudder. You captured the moment well. Really nice pic. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good detail on the plane, especially the spinning propeller. I like the way the pilot is looking directly at the camera, challenging the viewer. ===== From davidwilkinson@cwcom.net: The plane is excellent, but the cliffs and seascape are poor. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: Very good and clean modelling, good framing. The overall color balance is good, but I would have appreciated some texturing in woods, metals and textiles... From a specialist like you, I would have expected more detail in the engine, but I know what lack of documentation is ! ===== From m.r@lemel.fr: I am always "baba" when I see this work in Dos Pov... ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: Nice modeling on the plane, but the engine could use just a touch more detail. This is one of the best rotating props I have seen. I also like the sky and water, dark and gloomy, just like the real English Channel. ===== From r@pluto.icom-solutions.com: Notable for lighting, composition
