===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: The water looks great. And the boat part: I think you could have used an average normal pattern to combine the granite with a (turbulent) radial pattern with its centre at the front of the boat. ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: I think Columbus started with three ships, didn't he? Very nice water; the castle looks a bit bland. ===== From jull43@ij.net: Af first I liked the objects in the scene, still do, but as fantasy, or perhaps representational. They do not strike me as what would be found around a seaport. And stone quays were very unforgiving in the days of wooden ships without something acting as bumbers. Perhaps it is from the distance but I would say that fountain does appear quite realistic. Overall I would say pleasing. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Not a bad idea, but some parts lack a bit of detail, especially the castle walls on the right are too featureless. The big church in the background looks quite good, and the wave pattern is also quite nice. The sails of the ship are too perfectly smooth, this is not what they look like in realty. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good realistic water. The rest of the scene is somewhat murky -- shouldn't it be in bright sunlight? Definitely an historic moment. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Pity about time restrictions. A more detailed ship, closer up, would have made a big difference. Concept excellent. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: The water looks good. Spain is a sunny country, you know, I would expect a sunny ambience (brighter, with a slight yellow touch). And the boat should be much bigger ! ===== From lowellr@globaldialog.com: Damn, I would love to steal that water
