===== From sshaw@fas.harvard.edu: The plants in the foreground are good, as is the sky. I think that the raptors might have worked better further from the camera. The landscape in the background may need more variation: some different colors, maybe snow on the mountains, something to make it more interesting. ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: The sky is really excellent, but the ground could need a little more work, expecially the hills. I think they should have some more variation, and not be just plain bright green. ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: Technically, this is well into pre-history. The clouds are quite cool, although it looks as though God is about to come down out of the center. I'm not sure that that gives the effect you were looking for. ===== From jull43@ij.net: Clouds good but a bit dark for the sun so high in the sky. The "representational" nature of the blob-comet is a touch too obvious altnough yes, would probably have rounded off in the atmosphere. The lower half is generally interesting but lacks the degree of "realism" of the top half. They appear discordant to me. I guess that is the risk you take mixing tools. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Very nice clouds. I don't know if an incoming meteror does really look like this but it's a lot better than the fire trail shown in so many cheap (and some very expensive, like Armagheddon) movies. ===== From karl@pemail.net: My girlfriend thought that they should have speech bubbles, saying something along the lines of "what's that", "dunno, just ignore it" ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Very nice. I liked the specially the hole on the clouds. Beatifuly composed. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good realistic sky. I like the hole in the clouds. Good dinosaurs. The comet seems to smooth and lumpy. Too bright green in the valley. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Nice image. Striking in two senses. The meteor is too cool. It would have been incandescent (ambient 1.0). ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: The hole in the clouds is very clever ! Good movement ! Things are generally a little too 'straight'... ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: I like the hole in the sky. The image seems a bit flat. The landscape lacks the feeling of depth. Very sobering to think about. Are we humans just an accident?. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Excellent sky - the warp on the clouds worked wonderfully. ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: Very good cloud effects! I hadn't thought of using black holes for that sort of thing.
