===== From sshaw@fas.harvard.edu: The plants are well done. The transparent cones that you used to make the 'fur' is very effective. The plants are all well done. For the connection to the topic, I understand the idea that you had here but looking at the scene I just don't get the feeling of looking at ruins. Though it might be less true to reality, having more of the ruins in tact might have helped me there. ===== From sammy@cube.net: extremely good 1st entry!!!!! I wish you the 2nd place! (sorry, but The one with the skulls is my favourite!:) ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: The fur and moss are excellent! Good modelling overall, but I can't figure out what the red stuff at the left is. ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: That moss is pretty incredible! So is the fur, I'm going to have to remember those techniques. ===== From jull43@ij.net: I can't see any glyphs. I see a couple of straight sides. Broken cut stones. But is that history is is that today? I see ferns growing out of what appears to be water. I was unaware they were aquatic plants. I think I am seeiing bright read soil on the "banks" of the water. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Very good image; although the connection with the topic is not immediately visible, it becomes very clear after reading the text and some closer looks. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Great first effort! Good techniques all over, but the final scene is rather murky. Its significance isn't obvious until you read the text file. Good soft lighting and shadows. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Very atmospheric. A nice image. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: Very coherent composition; a little confusing at first sight, but once you enter the image, it becomes familiar. ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: Very nice first entry. Howeve,r I would like to see more focus on the ancient relics and less on the plant life. I am looking forward to your next entry.
