===== From sammy@cube.net: I like it, Nice work on the building and the car. but you should work somewhat on the the textures, especially the white stone texture looks too flat and uninteresting. Some water poodles on the street and garbage ... signs of life so to speak would have enhanced the 'experience', and would have made the whole scene look a lot more realistic, without even needing a single poser figure. ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: The car model *is* good, but there are other things that could be improved. An extra layer or two on the brick texures would do a lot, I think. Some darker, more brown or red spots. Also the shadows are really grainy, higher quality settings on the area light would be nice, too. ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: It looks like your bricks on the building use bricks for the pigment, but not for the normal; you can vastly improve the look of bricked objects by putting the same size brick in the normal as well. Really nice detail in your Model Ts, and in the stairways. ===== From klynn@uswest.net: Nice job on the car ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: A little bit more work would make a masterpiece. Building edges are far too square. Are cars abandoned due to stock crash??: it's ok to leave out people, but then perhaps show a parking lot at night! Dashboard on car seems unrealistic compared to my memory: too vertical? ===== From jull43@ij.net: I like the attention to historical detail, stone street, brass radiator and the like. I would have expected squares in the sidewalk and the Model T did not sell in England. Enjoy seeing it. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Nice modelling on the cars. The houses are a bit too simple I thinkk and the lighting could use a lot stronger oversampling to ger rid of the graininess. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Really good modelling on the car. Unusual perspective detracts from the image, however. The high-up camera makes the cars look small, and the camera is not high enough to be in a second story window. Good lamps. Nice road texture. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: A very pleasing image. It is a pity that you were not able to spend more time on the street and buildings which seem too stark. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: - your emergency stairs have 10 steps for 3 meter stories, which gives 30 cm between each step, the standard being 17-18 cm; ouch ! - the bricks in the wall are too big, and such windows can't exist (technically) - FYI, there have been a ford T amongst the winners of the "great engineering achievement" round. - I like the pink tint of the bricks... ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: I like the bricks on the street, but the ones for the buildings seem too uniform. I like the modeling of the car and the fire escape. Another improvement would be to smooth out the shadows. This is a very good first entry. Please enter again so we can enjoy your progress. ===== From skywise@fix.net: A good image, but I would have liked o see more varied lighting and less flat texturing... Still, definitely good. ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: Everythinng looks well-modelled. There seem to be some publically-available .inc files around that would let you include people, though they might need modifying for your subject. Adding another layer of texture would let you add weathering, oil spills etc to walls and roadway.
