===== From sshaw@fas.harvard.edu: Ok, you get some credit for the "you're history" idea. But the whole picture comes out looking very flat, and if there is much detail in the truck it is lost. I suspect that this is a combined effect of the fog and the lighting choices. ===== From sammy@cube.net: Well .. I gave you extra points for actually finding a good interpretation of the theme ;) ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: I think this fits the topic allright. The word is "history", so I don't see a problem, actually. About the picture: it would be more interesting if there were some trees perhaps (silhouettes) at the sides, and if the truck wasn't exactly lined up straight in front of the car. Maybe some bumper stickers or flames on the truck, and a little more detail: what brand is it, for example? Anyway, I'm going to give this a high concept score. ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: Fortunately, there is no best of class for most off-topic. It looks as though the vehicle we're in has already been hit at least once: there isn't anything left of the front end except for the rear-view mirror. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: As for being most off-topic, no chance, there were two future-images that had absolutely nothing to do with the topic. I think you about the weaknesses of this image, no need to rub them in ;) ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Yes, you win the award for most off-topic while fitting the subject into the title. Good authentic lighting. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: A funny image but we think not really on topic. ===== From 101741.541@compuserve.com: Arguable topicality. The image lacks the sense of movement/speed/danger. ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: My first thought was "way off topic." But then I read the title and noticed the rear view mirror. I gave a fairly high score for concept because of the creative twist. I don't think you have to worry about the Peterbilt designers. I design both Kenworths and Peterbilts and I did not recognize this as a Pete. The lighting and fog came out pretty good. The oversize grill adds to the dramatic effect, but the addition of a steering wheel with white knuckles would be nice. ===== From skywise@fix.net: Seems kind of off-topic, but it's really more just an inventive look at the topic, so I went ahead and gave your fairly high interpretation points :) Aside from that, the image was a bit too simple and flat... Still, for whatever reason I kind of liked it... ===== From r@slmlb38p08.ozemail.com.au: Very original interpretation of the theme. Notable for originality ===== From r@pluto.icom-solutions.com: I don't think this is off-topic, I think it's "bang-on". Notable for originality
