JPGFILE: pixels.jpg ZIPFILE: pixels.zip RENDERER USED: POV-Ray 3.1a TOOLS USED: Corel Draw, Rhino3d, Spilin Editor RENDER TIME: 5 hours 14 min HARDWARE USED: Pentium pro 200, 128 Mb IMAGE DESCRIPTION: One dot means nothing, two means line, a lot of them are picture. Story is the same forever. Underwater somewhere on Mediterranean, April 1979. Long time ago, huge earthquake push whole small antic settlement to the sea and cover it by sand. Last big quake remove the sand and shows amazing scene; I have been first whom she seen after two thousands years... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Mosaic, sand, coins and sea surface are heightfields. Mosaic is drawed with Corel Draw, over POV rendering of Rhino head model. Drawing is used as heighfield and material map. Coins are heighfields, from POV render of same model. Material map for painted amphora is also drawed with Corel draw. Heightfields for sand and sea are classic POV texture patterns, so I add POV files which generates these hf-s in source. Rest of objects are blobs, CSGs and lathes coming from Spilin Editor. Squares in corners is normal map applied to the camera.
