===== From sshaw@fas.harvard.edu: I think that I would have preferred the image without the robotic "bug" on the stalk. Though it does provide constrast, I find it somewhat out of place. I don't know if this is a result of the image conversion to jpg or not, but it is hard to see just what is going on with the island, especially in the lower right corner. I like the idea, though; the blimp in the background helped me figure out what I was looking at when I first pulled up the image. ===== From brendthess@aol.com: The ship contrails need some work. Even where the image implies that the ships are turning, the contrails are straight and too cylindrical. ===== From nijman@nmtrix.com: Nice leaves, why did you include all the other models, they are not an enrichment to the picture. ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: Love it! That caterpillar like crawler is GREAT. The texture on the stalks is lacking, though. ===== From somers@w-link.net: I like the lighting! ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Obviously a lot of hard work here, but the result is rather jumbled. ===== From autumn@sinbad.net: Well conceived idea! One thing. How would the bean stalks survive in the rarified atmosphere near the orbital satelite? ===== From clem@dhol.com: Very clever twist on the beanstalk concept. I am also impressed by your clever means of creating the beanstalks. The leaves are excellent, but the beanstalk texture needs to be more defined and stronger looking. Some normal adjustments would help. The blimp is a nice idea. Why pots? Can you imagine the size of the root system these things would need? The crawler is good, but needs a bit more detail and perhaps another joint in the legs. Well done. ===== From sdevet@istar.ca: I really like the idea, and the composition of the image is both interesting, and bizarre. The scene looks a little flat, though.. I think that some radiosity or area lights would have been a great addition. ===== From file: Pretty.
