By the way, fireworks seldom are all one color -- except white -- makers
usually mix at least two

The trails of the fireworks should be much smoother and

I just don't understand why you went with the squared off 
image and clipped the red and blue explosions.  I find that 
truncation painful, artistically.  The lighting is pretty good 
and the spotlight worked in my opinion.  The fireworks 
were a promising idea, but the implementation didn't really 
work.  They are much too simplistic and unrealistic to go 
with the nice tower model.  This image relies too much on 
image mapping for my taste.  Most of the things you did 
with mapping could have been done without it relatively 
easily and with much better results.

Great modeling, although one expects that it would be difficult to light the Eiffel as brilliantly as this from top to bottom. I know! If you put spotlight beams playing up and down the entire tower (instead of just the one spot), that would provide grandiosity, and explain how the tower is so bright, too. Make the additional spots visible in the atmosphere, just as you did the one you pointed at the clock.
