===== From chris@bluelectrode.com: A little repetitious and confusing, but overall a very whimsical and magical piece. Very reminiscent of some of Gilles Tran's work. Good job. One of my top ten. ===== From clintona@ibm.net: Great work! Reminds me of Dr. Seuss. Textures are applicable to the amosphere of the scene. ===== From soulmates@gci.net: First, let me say how impressed I am with your imaginative vision and the effort you've put into this image. Now, some critical comments: 1) The atmosphere is washing things out a bit too much. There's not enough contrast in the image. I really feel it is lessening the impact of the scene. 2) The reflectivity of the floating building is making things a bit odd around the window embrassures. For a while, I thought maybe the building was partially transparent. 3) It seems odd that of all the buildings in the scene, this is the only one with the wheelbarrows and trees. I know you wanted the central building to stand out and be the center of attention, but I would have thought that the neighbors in the other buildings might have emulated those in the foreground. I love the image regardless. :{) David Heys soulmates@gci.net ===== From YaelParis@operamail.com: I actually don't understand all the technical stuff you speak about but that's an original and well-made picture! (The french touch maybe ;-) ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Pretty. Higher score for every tree being different! ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: Very reminicient (sp?) of the hanging gardens. ===== From tom@tomandlu.force9.co.uk: Some nice things, but the wheelbarrows look a bit imposed on the scene. Seems a little washed out - loses too much detail on the background palaces. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: That name I remember, but I can't remember what art was related to it, it does not really matter much so long as the name stays for a long time to come ... Another example of the great art produced for this IRTC round. Another fantastic production. I love this kind of imagination feat, surealism and more and particularly well crafted. One of the top three pictures ... which though is the question. I especially like the way the wheel is set at a different angle for each instance, it really does add to the realism almost as much as colour differences or really different trees. A very good use of colours, sense of depth, sense of a complete design. I'd say this is the most artistic of all submissions this round and a fantastic concept, really, but since I don't really want to choose between that one or Jaimes' one, I'll go for equal overall mark. OK, now I know the end result for the votes (mine of course) : three of you get an equal total of point well above the others (for me anyway) and you are one of them. ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: J'aime vraiment beaucoup. ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Technical - very good Artistic - well done Theme - unique and good interpretation of the theme ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Interesting image - the colours are pretty. It just seems very surreal and not quite like a garden, especially with no real explanation in the text file. ===== From file: great picture! Notable for originality, composition, textures
