===== From chris@bluelectrode.com: Renderer? Tools used? Anything? If I didn't know better I'd say this isn't raytraced...I'd love to see the source file for this one... Alright, even if you didn't raytrace it atleast use a higher jpg compression quality setting. ===== From clintona@ibm.net: Without knowing what software you used to create this it is difficult for me to mark it. It is quite artistic, though it seems too blurry to be rendered. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: It is my impression that this image was not rendered, but instead drawn or blended using a tool like Photoshop. ===== From soulmates@gci.net: Unfortunately, you have not listed the rendering software and/or the techniques used to create this image. The background portion of the image (the withered trees) is blurry. As such, it is difficult to discern whether this is rendered, a photograph, or hand drawn/painted. The photo of the woman and the rippling pool both look like post processing. However, they could have been image maps placed on objects within your rendered scene. There's just no way to tell without knowing what software and/or techniques were used. As such, I have not been able to assign a proper technical score. I look forward to your next entry. ===== From YaelParis@operamail.com: please read "is my image acceptable for submission" info on irtc main page. I can't vote for you as I don't know how you created this image. ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: too blurry to be made out properly. Needs a little more detail in how it was made. ===== From emediez@emediez.com: Although with a high and subjective concept, your image is not inside the boundaries and conditions of the competition. Please try next round with a raytraced image. ===== From tom@tomandlu.force9.co.uk: Very out of focus and all rather generalised. Is this pic made within irtc rules? ===== From CHRIS_DARCY@YAHOO.COM: Was this raytraced? ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Although this has some artistic-ish value, I do not believe a single minute this was created by image synthesis as such and not raytracing anyway. This looks like the composition of borrowed pictures. Maybe I'm wrong, but I am not convinced of that. Besides it is recommended to tell us more about the tools used and the way you proceeded to achieve your results. ===== From cyberjoe@cytanet.com.cy: A very beautyful image, it has depth to it. This competition however is about raytracing so it is unacceptable as an entry. Perhaps there are other competitions on the web for this type of image. ===== From karl@pemail.net: A little more information on what packages you used and how ou created the image would be nice ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Technical - as you did not explain how you made it, we can not comment, also we can not 'zoom' in to examine your art in detail thus... half marks (how did you do the very nice face, how did you make the gnarled trees that resembled twisted human bodies)(please if your computer allows render larger next competition) Artistic & Theme - I know just enough about your culture to see and understand how your image fits your story, thus artistically and theme wise, good interpetation ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: Was this one actually rendered in a 3D program? It looks as if it was made in something like Photoshop.
