TITLE: The Last Garden COUNTRY: UK WEBPAGE: http://www.tomandlu.force9.co.uk/ RENDERER USED: POV 3.1g (Win95) TOOLS USED: PSP 6.00, T.Aust's tree macro, C.Colefax's grass and galaxy macros RENDER TIME: 6hrs 32 mins HARDWARE USED: P5 / 166 MMX IMAGE DESCRIPTION: I've got about 3 stories in my head to accompany this image - you can make up your own I hope. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The bushes are from a bastardised version of Aust's tree macro, the grass and space stuff from Colefax's grass and galaxy macros. The snow and mountains are hf. I feel the scene could do with more details, but I am pleased with the texture and shape of the metal of the CSG globe. I played around with various versions of this image, including one set in a desert. It is largely inspired by a manga comic-book artist called Katsuhiro Otomo, and in particular two stories of his, "Electric Bird Land" and "Flower" (both stories are included in a collection called "Memories"). He's probably best known for "Akira". BTW if you want to render this scene, you will have to set the variable "dofile" to "true" the first time you run it (this creates a mesh for the grass). Also, it's probably best to assume that I've mucked around with any included includes, such as trees or grass. Therefore, use the versions supplied rather than your own copies (the galaxy includes are still as God - aka Chris - intended).
