TITLE: Synthetic garden NAME: Eric van der Ree COUNTRY: The Netherlands EMAIL: eric@sg.nl WEBPAGE: none TOPIC: Gardens COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING JPGFILE: syntgrdn.jpg ZIPFILE: syntgrdn.zip RENDERER USED: Povray 3.1 TOOLS USED: Several Include files (No tools) RENDER TIME: 15 hours HARDWARE USED: PC - Pentium III (64MB) IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Mayby in the far future we don't need them to survive, but the longing for the mere beauty of trees, plants and flowers prevails ... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This image is 100 % pure Povray source. There is one 'universal' light-source, six light- sources to simulate the sunlight, ground-fog, the sky based upon an example I found to work with multiple cloudlayers (author unknown by me). The tree on the left in the foreground made with the help of the include file by Sonya Roberts (with no-default leaves). The bushes/trees (with the small leaves) were exported from Lparser into a include-file (leaves with random colors within certain ranges). The ferns and flowers also exported from Lparser. The plants in the pots with the help of the include file by Derek Owens. The trees and spruce in the background based upon the Vegetation package include file (part of the Genesis Toolkit). The futuristic buildings and transport were created by me as parameters (except for the two in the foreground) for the City Generator include file by Chris Colefax. The walks and walls in the garden and the grasses in the background created by me. The sun and camera-position were created using the Lens effects include file by Chris Colefax. The zipfile only contains the scenery-file and most of the include-files (together with the rather huge Lparser-includes and the generated imagefile of the Sky would take up 8 MB).
