Once the longed for destination of Dorothy and her friends, claims another victim. Dorothy had such high hopes. Her addiction to sleeping poppies has gotten so bad that she hocked her favorite shoes to feed the need. Don't worry kiddies...the Tinman thinks he can find a new use for them. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The modeling for this image is mostly csg (exception - Tinman, paper, and slippers in sPatch). Basic shapes were used for just about everthing (it shows). The Yellow Brick Road is a combination of two Heightfields in a brick pattern. One of the HFs had to be rotated 90 degrees for the herringbone look. The stars and clouds are standard textures that fit the scene. The blowing paper and debris are randomly placed to give the appearance of wind blowing around the buildings. The Tinman was created in sPatch with basic shapes. The whole scene is givin a low ambience (sorry if your monitor is not showing it properly). It needs more dirt and a few objects like door handles and such but I ran out of time while working on the details. Every entry is a learning experience for me and I learned about while loops and image maps from this one. Good luck everyone!!! rendered at 800X600 with the following settings Antialias=On Antialias_Threshold=0.00 Sampling_Method=2 Antialias_Depth=2
