===== From jknepley@chisp.net: This would have been visually great if you had textured the capitol building. ===== From loomsbury@yahoo.com: I like the story, but I just don't understand why people use other people's models, and none of their own. ===== From pmccombs@hotmail.com: Great pic and interesting story, but it only seems remotely on topic (if that). ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Very original subject! Nice focus on proportions. Great! ===== From scarmig@ohmss.com: While I absolutely love this picture and can only cite the flaws you already know about (penny looks a little too flat, the edges of the penny texture are extruded) I have trouble relating this wonderful work to the theme of 'city', even in an abstract form. Know that while your text file makes a good reference (and a good story too!) to the theme, that reference is hard to find from the image alone (looking at it in a museum I would never know it was about the city). ===== From tony@j4tb.com: I think both the capital and the penny look excellent. Considering the date on the penny. I would expect it to be fairly clean and free of nicks. The backgound pennys seem to 'ghost'. I like the wood and the glossy finish. It adds a realistic touch. The biggest issue about the composition is that it seems to be a streach of the theme. ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: Very loosly connected with the theme. Dont get me wrong...I think the image is beautiful. I just feel it would have been better suited to an art or construction theme. ===== From jd@surveyor.in-berlin.de: Focal blur isn't everything ===== From Stickgod01@aol.com: That's an interesting story. Building doesn't look silver enough. Great penny's and focal blur. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Very nice concept and the modeling is great. ===== From tglover@nettally.com: Be very careful about scanned images of US money. The US Secret Service can be VERY humorless. It looks REAL good tho. ===== From tonyv@iafrica.com: Some wonderful modelling. But it does not belong to this topic. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: A nice image, with an impressive model, but this is neither a picture of the city, nor a picture of a model of a city. ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: It looks very nice, but one building doesn't make a city :-( . ===== From file: little bit OT, but nice work, esp. coin-texture Notable for modelling, originality, textures ===== From file: Clearly this image is the work of a brilliant genius. ===== From file: quite realistic.
