IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 

Red desert.
The bones of a foolhardy traveller lay bleached in the red sand.


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

The backdrop was created using Terragen (http://www.planetside.co.uk/). 
I sampled the texture to use throughout the picture.

The foreground is a distorted patch.
The bones from Poser. I scattered them about and added some teeth.
The rocks are noisy spheres.
The rags (on the bones) are a pushed and pulled patches.
The birds are mesh edited boxes with a meshsmooth.
There are three lights.One projecting through the backdrop (The sun).Two others
to light up the the other objects without casting shadows.

The objects all have top/bottom textures to graduate red sand to the objects
texture. 

The picture was rendered with an blend option to give it a slightly hazy feel.

I have not adjusted the gamma. In the past people have said that the pictures
are too dark. If this is the case with this one I will start adjusting the
gamma.
