JPGFILE: reclamat.jpg ZIPFILE: reclamat.zip RENDERER USED: Bryce 3.5 TOOLS USED: I used Photoshop 5.5 to create the .bmp used for the Arch. RENDER TIME: 32 hours, 17 minutes, 26 seconds HARDWARE USED: Pentium III 700 IMAGE DESCRIPTION: An ancient ruins reclamed by nature... Man has fallen again.. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: At first I had not thoughts on this topic... I was playing around, creating rocks in bryce and I came across one that was kind of squarish... I used taht rock shape duplicated and placed to create the wall... I have always been intensely fascinated with the concept of portals, so it seemed natural to create an arch. Symetrical latices in Bryce are the BOMB... You can create ANYTHING using them... spend some time trying it. I used photoshop to crfeate the height field for teh symetrical lattice taht became the arch. The big pieces of stone were intended to represent detritous. The heinous render time on this one was kind of amusing. The file itself was not that intensive, but as an experiment, I added the fog... AND just to see the difference, I upped the antialiasing factor WAY up. THe only difference I noticed was the LONG render. Not worth the time for the output.
