===== From digitalburn@totalise.co.uk: the join between eye and face looks dodgy ===== From pbourke@swin.edu.au: More work required perhaps to make the surrounds of the eye more believeable....it is difficult though. ===== From dvnss@mega.ist.utl.pt: Those are some freaky deep eyes!! ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nice concept. The eye lashes/brows weren't there. The whale splash did not feel realistic (shards of ice). ===== From whitey@telefragged.com: Every couple months, hundreds of images get submitted to the IRTC. This is one of them. ===== From bbowen@cswnet.com: Cool idea ===== From angelaperry@webcombo.net: A very creative and attractive image. I like the concept very much. The water could use a bit more work, but the sunset is very nice, as is the reflective appearance of the eye. Nice job! ~A. Perry ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Interesting concept, nice eye. The whale splashing does not look right at all. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Not bad, but it takes a lot of work to get an eye to really look good this close up. Nice work on the whale and birds, and the way the eyeball itself seems submerged beneath the reflections is a nice touch. Perhaps a bit too much brightness in the reflected scene. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: A good looking image, don't know if the sea scene is behind the eye or reflected in it. The skin texture could be much better, the water looks too smooth and curved. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: A very shocking effect - for relism, generally only the cornea reflects distinctly. The whites of the eye are a bright background. . . mirrors generally look very dark, which reflects better than lighter colors (if you can ever find a silver-backed mirror, you can compare). There also seems to be a lack of shadows in the eyelids, but you probably know that. Try rendering with radiosity to solve that. Circles are an easy way to keep attention in the picture, but I have found that they don't interest me very much. . . I know what to expect when I see a circle, I guess. ===== From file: Perhaps a bit more work to make the skin more believable. Notable for composition, originality
