===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: The dog helped the art score, but the lack of other objects (birds) hit the technical score. The sun should be the brightest thing in the scene. ===== From pbourke@swin.edu.au: Nice sunset, good colours. The dog is a bit prominant. ===== From wagner-michael@web.de: This scene is nice, but there's missing something (like a boat or something else). ===== From dvnss@mega.ist.utl.pt: Man, that is a very melancolic dog! Have you ever thought of taking him to the pet's shrink? :) ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nice affect. ===== From douge@nls.net: The orange coloring is a bit much... looks unrealistic. Still, a nice image. ===== From tony@j4tb.com: Your overall image conveys a sense of renewal and tranquility. Technically I would make the sun brighter and give it a little reflection in the waters. Your water texture is very nice. ===== From a.swan@ucl.ac.uk: I *really* like this image (it's got my highest vote so far!). My only comment would be that the sun should not be darker than the horizon itself. ===== From angelaperry@webcombo.net: Very artistic entry. I liked the monochromatic scheme a lot. The dog was technically very well done, although he did not seem particularly old... The image's composition was quite nice as well. ~A. Perry ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Pretty well done. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: In concept I like this one a lot. The silhouette effect works well, and most of the objects look good. Unfortunately, it's just way too glaring and hard to look at... I feel like my retinas are burning out even as I type this. If the colors were turned down a bit, I think this would be a very nice scene. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: I really like this, I've darkened the image so that the dog is just a silhouette which now gives it an Egyptioan feel, quite a moving image. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: The light is nice - the monotone values real help draw the disparate images and planes together. The high contrast of the horizon in the middle of the picture against the dark vertical and diagonals in the dog and the ligther, more linear verticals on the right side keep interest, regardless of the theme.
