===== From digitalburn@totalise.co.uk: Very nice modelling, but the textures need more work (esp on the fish). Textures are the most important thing. Like the weeds. ===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: I use MegaPOV 0.5 and a parametric surface macro with splines. You gave me some good fish tail ideas with this image. ===== From pbourke@swin.edu.au: Nice image, I would have probably appreciated it more without the TV. The rocks on the left are the best underwater surfaces I've seen yet in this competition. ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: What can I say? Everything is good. Except perhaps for the texture on the TV set which looks a bit odd. ===== From dvnss@mega.ist.utl.pt: Ha Ha Ha! Join me in - I am a great fan of Cousteau too! The fishes are too marmoreal, though ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nice concept and you create a sense of being underneath the ocean. ===== From douge@nls.net: Actually, I think the scene would be better without the fish and the TV... the rocks and plants look really nice, but they don't seem to fit with the fish. ===== From tony@j4tb.com: Good description. Funny theme. That focal blur really helps give it that underwater look. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Texturing is pefect, except at nearest point. Nice humorous theme. ===== From bbowen@cswnet.com: Nice use of blurring. I'm seeing the fins the way you intended I think. Looks like some of the detail might have been lost in the compression. ===== From angelaperry@webcombo.net: Nice idea -- very creative. In spite of looking just like fish, the fish nevertheless convey expression. The total picture is appealing and cute. ~A. Perry ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: I really like the idea of Cousteau as rpesented in this picture ;-)) Marble fish ? ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: Cute, you made me laugh ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Funny concept. The rocks have a very natural feel to them, and the murkiness in the background works well. The texturing on the rocks in the lower right doesn't look as good as the others... I'm assuming this is an effect of the lighting interacting with the texture. Good job overall though. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: A great image with fantastic fish and plants. There's something off about the rock texture that I can't quite put my finger on. The general atmosphere is good, the blur probably helped that, but it still needs some bits floating around. The TV adds an interesting twist and gives the image a focus. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Nice fish... the work on the fins paid off. But they all have the same pattern on their skin! Clever concept, and nicely executed. The lines of bubbles from the fish look a bit fake though - should be a bit more sparse. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: Very nice scene! I laughed, I cried, etc. There is a problem with not being able to distiguish between the 2nd an 3rd fish and the background - all are very busy and have similar values. Nice eye movement throughout the picture, though. The picture of Cousteau is great!
