===== From digitalburn@totalise.co.uk: I like the water best. the splash is definitely dodgy - you should have left it out. ===== From elvish_archer@mailcity.com: u need more fog ===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: The one you have, scaled down, would work nicely. See zee.jpg for a better example. ===== From pbourke@swin.edu.au: The splash is weak. Nice sky and moon, the ship is a bit "perfect". ===== From panthus@xtra.co.nz: Excellent image, I think you are too hard on yourself. The composition is excellent - love the low down moon focusing the action - and while it is a bit far from 'real', it evokes the event stylistically and is very artful. ===== From dvnss@mega.ist.utl.pt: Yes, the splash is not the best. But it is a great picture!! ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nice image but can't figure out the grenish-borwn blobs. ===== From douge@nls.net: Very nice work, although the splash looks like a bunch of rocks instead of water. ===== From tony@j4tb.com: Incredible ropes, as far as your splash try making the spheres smaller. ===== From whitey@telefragged.com: Why is the splash brown? And i love it when people put huge amounts of detail into something that isn't even visible. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Good image except for the rocks or whatever where the monster is emerging from water... ===== From bbowen@cswnet.com: Nice sense of drama in the composition. I think an actual water texture might help your splash; it looks like rocks from here. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Yeah, very well done ! Except the water splashing even if it was intended to be foamy. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: The colors in this scene give it a very 'Disney-ish' look. An interesting concept, but the spray of water looks more like rocks than anything else. The ship itself has a very nice style to it, and overall the scene looks like something out of an animated movie... some very nice work here. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: You've done some great work here. It's spoiled by the monster which looks like ruber and the splash, why didn't you at least make it the same colour as the sea? The sail is a good shape but the texture's really naf, the textures in general need work apart from the moon which is quite reasonable and the lighting is very good. It's especially good considering it's your first entry. I hope to see more of your work in future rounds. The text file was a bit too long. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: The lighting and shadows are excellent. The sharp contrasts look cartoonish, but the composition is a classical triangle, and that always works. Don't be too concerned if all the details are in the picture (at least, if it's at the last minute), just make sure that the final image is worth looking at - which it is. The theme does come across nicely. ===== From file: I like everything in the scene except the splash -- looks like potatoes! The ship and its lights are nice.
