===== From digitalburn@totalise.co.uk: I like the sky, water and beach. The volcano doesn't look so good. ===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: The monochromatic mountain hit the art score. ===== From pbourke@swin.edu.au: Lovely water and reflections, good mountain and smoke. The rocks in the water and the beach are well done also. Yuk, those palm trees need work! ===== From dvnss@mega.ist.utl.pt: That volcano look like a cooking pot!! ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nice concept, I like your water. Perhaps a bit lava or glow from the volcano would have added something. ===== From tony@j4tb.com: I must say your scene is impressive. Everything looks remarkably real. The only thing that dropped your score is that it is not what I would call The Sea. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Everything is very cool, I don't understand why the banding of the sand goes so far up the hill. ===== From angelaperry@webcombo.net: Nice work. I liked the sky and the water (especially the reflective quality) a lot. The sand ripples don't seem quite natural, though. Also, I would like to see some lava (even though that stage of eruption is in the future, usually some glowing magma can be seen). Good idea, however. A volcano was quite an original idea. ~A. Perry ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: The sun's position (as inferred from the shadows) does not agree with the bright light in the clouds. I lke the coral reef. The vulcano's surface looks unfinished : there is too much of a quick change in scenery, I mean if the vulcano was to look like that it would appear to me that it is locate very far away, but at the same time it appears to be pretty close to the sandy beach and that does not agree. ===== From husakm@vscht.cz: Uniform plants. No other vegetation ... ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: I like the volcano, and everything looks good overall. Maybe a few too many trees though. Also, the rippling on the sand seems to show up a bit too well on the hills. Overall, a very nice scene. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: This looks so good that at first I thought that it was a Mick Hazelgrove (that's a very big compliment by the way). I love the colouration of the water, the smoke coming out of the volcanoe and the sand. A beautiful image. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: The first thing I noticed was how nice the lighting was - the reflections in the water and the bright-yet-murky quality reminded me of a real volcano or other smoke cover (or an eclipse). However, the text file did you in. . . the light in the sky is in the wrong place. I still like the light in the image, but the light would actually be behind the mountain to have the sky lit that way. I don't know if it was you or the renderer which did that bright spot. Otherwise, the composition is a plus sign, essentially. It creates interest, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to look at in this scene. . . the palm trees? ===== From file: I like the palms; they're a recent project of mine too. The humps in the beach have an odd striped pattern. I'd like to see a version without the smoke.
