===== From digitalburn@totalise.co.uk: That's not true, in fact. H.M.S. Victory is still oficially in service (and the flagship of the Royal Navy?) and although she is in drydock, is thought to be seaworthy. Good model, but the texturing doesn't do it justice. ===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: Boat hull texture needs detail. ===== From pbourke@swin.edu.au: At least your ship is placed IN the water rather than many other entrants. ===== From dvnss@mega.ist.utl.pt: It still could be more realistic. I just don't knoe how :-) ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Great image! The only thing it is missing is a breaking waves on the front of the ship. ===== From douge@nls.net: Well composed image. I like the way the ship is cocked at an angle... almost gets me feeling seasick! ===== From tony@j4tb.com: Your image captures being on the high seas. Your water needs a little work but the clipper looks great. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Nice ship, but the sea does not match up in quality. I love the shooting angle. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: I really enjoy the spirit of this picture. Composition suggests energy and m= ovement. The precision of the modelling, esp. of the rigging, comes through= well. I hope you do elaborate it further in the ship-painting vein. The wa= ter does need more and maybe rethink the sky too. I scored this picture hig= h. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: I really like the ship on this one... nicely detailed. More complex texturing could give it a more realistic look, though. The birds look pretty good. ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: Lots of ships this round, but this is one of the best-modelled, I think. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: This is a really striking image, great modelling. The texture on the ships hull could do with some work. The method that you have used for the water has worked very well giving the water different shades at different locations. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Nice ship, but I'm having terrible trouble working out which way the wind is blowing. That looks like the bow, but then the flag is blowing the wrong way. Decent water, but could use more medium-scale rippling. Good choice of camera angle for interest. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: The sky works well to give movement to the ship. . . the static bunches of clouds to the left and the directional lines of the clouds on the right. Te ship is well contained compositionally, but anything that is comprised of triangle in that manner would be. . . the nice effect is the bow and mast sticking out to the right. It breaks the symetry and leads the eye in the direction of the ship.
