===== From digitalburn@totalise.co.uk: wierd good ===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: Your ground crackle texture needs a normal to match the pigment: it didn't come out too well. ===== From pbourke@swin.edu.au: Well done on all points, good idea and execution. ===== From panthus@xtra.co.nz: I like the mystifying concept and the contrasts. An excellent idea wherever it came from. ===== From dvnss@mega.ist.utl.pt: Funny and Educational ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Interesting representation. ===== From douge@nls.net: Good interpretation of theme. The texturing could use some work... stock patterns always end up looking kind of dull. ===== From tony@j4tb.com: A nice artsy image I am not sure I understand the description. ===== From bbowen@cswnet.com: I don't get the foggy desert background. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: Yeah, I like this one. That's one of the few that does not need an explanatory text, it hits home without it. Very cool. Definitely the best concept, well, I think, top concept mark shared with Moby Duck. The shadows are a bit too sharp though. I rated the top few as follows (overall ranking) : 1/ Moby Duck 2/ Shipwreck near La Guaira 3/ Atlantic Still Life 4*2/ Sinking, Le Grand Bleu 5*2/ Missing Maine, The Great Wave The others are well distanced. ===== From husakm@vscht.cz: I did not chatch it ... ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: I like the concept of this scene, and the cardboard construction of the ships and sea look good. The background seems a little bright, though. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: A great iamge. It reminds me of Japanese pupet theater. Some of the textures could do with some more work, particularly the boats. The right hand side of the image seems a bit empty.
