I expect this kind of quality from the pros (Bryce, TrueSpace, etc.) but to see
this from POV-Ray/Hamapatch is nothing short of awesome.  That splash blob had
to be made by a macro generator (which I will look into if possible) with that
many components.

reason... looks like the splash resulting from something entering the water). 
The water surface looks realistic (except on the right where the light hits

Very nice rendering of a dolphin. The sky and sea are quite lovely as
well, and the splash is technically very interesting. The splash looks
like it results from a small object (ie drop of water) falling into a
larger body of water, rather than a large dolphin jumping out. On the
other hand, the barely visible texture on the island does an excellent
job of evoking greenery and lush plantlife. Overall, a good picture.

That has to be one of the nicest ones of this round, one of the most
artistic, I actually gave you the top mark in art which you don't share

I love the movement, the light, the whole consistency of the scene, the
quality of the water and sky.

Ok, time to be a little critical now. The clouds close to the horizon
look a bit odd, like clouds on the horizon usually look distant, those
ones look relatively close up.

I rated the top few as follows (overall ranking) :
1/ Moby Duck
2/ Shipwreck near La Guaira
3/ Atlantic Still Life
4*2/ Sinking, Le Grand Bleu
5*2/ Missing Maine, The Great Wave
The others are well distanced.

Nice scene.  The birds look very real, and the water 
splash looks quite convincing (perhaps a bit more like 
glass than water, but still, very close).  The clouds are 
also good.  The texture on the water looks better in the 
distance than close up (a common problem, it seems.)

An amazing image.  I love all the greys that you've used here, it could be
a B+W photo or it could be colour who knows?  The atmosphere's just right,
it reminds me of a Scottish lake with the mountains at the other side.

I actually only liked this image after finding out it was designed by you, and
not stock objects.  One critique: the water would have a direction, especially
when forced from below as in this pic.  It would also be less smooth.  I think
the sky and sun is neat because it is surreal (it couldn't occur in nature, at
least), and the sea looks great.

This is a really nice image. To me the dolphin is the central element, yet it's
not overpowering. Good choice to make it heading away from the camera. I wish
the splash weren't quite so regular however.
