IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 


The ocean view scene was selected from a picture from a balcony overlooking the
ocean. I figure this will be a rather typical scene for this round, but that is
what I decided to create. 



DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 


  The balcony scene is made up primarily of primitives using a lot of CSG's and
textures to accomplish the items. The island was created in terrain maker. The
cigarettes are an image map of an original package of lucky strikes and
"folded" into the box. The candle has a spotlight source to make the glow seen
on the table top. The tree is a macro that I found and modified to my liking. 
The chairs are simulated with a weave pattern in the back and seat. I modeled
them solid first then came back with a macro to cut out all of the diamond
shapes. The bottle and glasses are SOR's and an image map is laid overtop of
the bottle for the wine label. All in all the scene is a very simple collection
of objects to create the scene.
