TITLE: Sea of Greed NAME: Hugh S. Steele COUNTRY: USA EMAIL: hugh_s_steele@hotmail.com TOPIC: Sea COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: seagreed.jpg ZIPFILE: seagreed.zip RENDERER USED: MegaPov 0.5 TOOLS USED: sPatch and 3DWin RENDER TIME: 32 minutes 48.0 seconds HARDWARE USED: Evergreen 333 IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Long ago two men were bitter enemies. In time one was victor and of the other a cup was made to celibrate the victory. But the story ends not there, for the victor was soon hanged, and the cup went to another... who died by poison. Over time the cup was lost, but now two treasure hunters have discovered the find of a lifetime. Too bad that their lives will end before they reach the surface. But fear not for justice lost, for the victims pictured here number five! DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This is the first image that I have come up with that I like enough to enter. It is not finished, but they never are. I have included all files, except the skull mesh in the zip file. At 12Meg the skull is just too big to include, even in zip format. The skull is a 3DS model I downloaded and used 3DWin to convert into a POV formatted mesh. The cup and lid are standard CGS, while the base is made with sPatch. I also made the scuba mask, tanks, and fins with sPatch. The divers were created with BlobMan. I lost interest in the image and I think it shows mainly in what's missing. The spear and spearguns are just cylinders, without details. Missing are weight belts and other scuba related gear, also fish and other sealife. And of seawater we shall not speak... Nuff said. I hope you enjoy my little bit of mayham. Hugh S. Steele The light you see at the end of the tunnel, is from the train about to hit you.
