===== From luisvaloyes@malditasea.zzn.com: nice job... ===== From elvish_archer@mailcity.com: it's just like an abandoned lab with a fresh apple ===== From Stickgod01@aol.com: Awesome! It looks so real, so thought out! Great modelling on everything, I especially like the way the blue flame reacts with the beaker. ===== From stephenhasmail@yahoo.com: It is very hard with 3D graphics to create images that look organic, old, and/or dirty, but I think you have succeeded quite well. I'm glad there were two of you working on this, because it would have taken one person more than two months. ===== From tji@euskalnet.net: The best image in my opinion, I hope you win. Incredible work with the textures, specially the flame and the jar with the tea bag, and very good models. ===== From bourzeix@francenet.fr: Hum, I would not like to be obliged to clean to whole place !! ;-) And I'm not sure I'd want some tea either ... ===== From marlo.steed@home.com: Some of textures needed a bit more realism but overall good effort. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: A lot of detailed clutter in this scene. All the glass objects look good, and I like the stained periodic table. The telephone looks like it should have overbalanced and fallen off the table the way it's positioned, though. Nice shaping on the chairs, and on the apple (although the edges of the bite mark look a bit regular to me). ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Damn! This union is great! I can see how well you complemented each other, giving us the best dirty raytrace ever seen. Modelling techniques are blended with mastery. I've some curiosity about the texturing techniques, as they must have been done in pov, but they resemble like typical 3ds texturing style. Perhaps you even exported textures? And how? They are really amazing! And, only to acomplish my obligation to criticize, I must notice that light placement is perhaps the weak point of the scene. The light in front of the foreground objects is a bit too aligned with the camera, resulting in a lack of visible shadows, like a commercial presentation. I would prefered simply another ceil light, a bit behind the camera. But well , that's IMHO... ===== From whitey@telefragged.com: i like it ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: This is an exceptional image... the detail in the modelling and texturing is astounding. Nice composition, and it tells a story too. The little details are great - the bent paperclip, the marker with no lid, the Coke cans in the cupboard, and most of all the *dirt*.. everywhere! If this doesn't win a prize this round it will be an injustice. A successful collaboration, well done. ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Artistic: WOW! Lots of detail and things to look for (and looks similar to the lab my wife works in) namely cluttered up. Technical: Excellent work Theme: Full Marks! Very impressive interpretation. ===== From file: Notable for composition, modelling, textures
